Fair Share Fund

2012-2013

Purpose
The Fair Share Fund is the annual fund for parents. This vital effort has an immediate impact on our students by supporting financial aid, funding faculty salaries, and closing the gap between tuition revenue and the true cost of a Sidwell Friends education.

Tradition
SFS parents have established a strong and valued tradition of support for the School. For the past four years, they have participated in the Fair Share Fund at a rate of 94 percent or higher. Last year, the parent body achieved 95% participation overall. Parents are the cornerstone of thriving school communities, and their generosity and assistance can come in many forms. The school is grateful to our parents who so willingly give of their time, expertise, and financial support.

Goals
Fair Share Chair Greg Heard leads the effort to raise $1,275,000 and to continue an exemplary level of parent support of 95 percent. He is joined by a team of more than 40 parent volunteers.
