FEEN Conference 2013
Westtown School—May 2 - 3, 2013

Letting Our Schools Speak describes how Quaker schools are furthering environmental education and sustainable practices in their communities. We saw a glaring need for a forum through which educators committed to environmental stewardship could benefit from each other’s hard-earned experiences. Hence the creation of this project. We hope that you find something useful and inspiring on this site, and we encourage you to contribute to this endeavor by sharing what you have created with a wider audience. (For details, please see How to Submit an Article.) This is a living document, and we anticipate adding to its content on a regular basis. We look forward to hearing from you.

With the hope that we can help bring about a more peaceful and sustainable world,

This online publication was made possible by the Gottscho Environmental Stewardship Fund. Originally established in 1993 by Oscar A. Gottscho ’49 and his wife, Margaret Farrelly Gottscho, in memory of his parents, Ernest and Mathilde Wagener Gottscho, the Fund supports special Upper and Middle School student and faculty projects that enhance student understanding of the interrelationship of man and nature and that cultivate an ethic of environmental stewardship amongst the School community.
