Recommended Web sites

From our very own school's library website, you can find a treasure-trove of resources--from foreign language dictionaries and online encyclopedias, to full-text articles and historical photographs! If accessing the site from home, make sure you have your special usernames and passwords ready. (Not sure how to access the site from home? Ask Mrs. Voorhees or Ms. Smith for help.)

Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC)

Interested in the more scholarly side of children's literature? Then you must check out CCBC! Maintained by the University of Wisconsin-Madison's School of Education, this website has such tantalizing resources such as: an online exhibit of Harry Potter covers from around the world; portions of Ellen Raskin's Westing Game manuscript, complete with hand corrections; lists of recommended children's books; essays on publishing trends; as well as interviews and videos with authors and illustrators.

Collected by the American Library Association, this list of sites has everything from links to scholarly resources to children's literature to recommended toys.
