As a Sidwell Friends student, Nate Franks ’03 was the only boy on the normally all-female varsity field hockey team. It was an unusual choice but proved to be a wise one—Franks has recently been named assistant coach of Princeton University’s field hockey team.

Franks also held assistant coaching positions at American University and Bucknell University before returning to his college alma matter.
