Thirteen students from the Sidwell Friends community traveled with their families to New York City for a behind-the-scenes look at Broadway’s Godspell. Nick Blaemire '02 stars in the musical’s ensemble cast and treated the group to a post-show discussion and backstage tour. A fixture in the arts programs at Sidwell since his Middle School debut as Bradley Chalkers in There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom by Louis Sachar, Nick inspired the group and was especially excited to see his friends from home.

Godspell is a series of parables based on the Gospel of Matthew set to modern music. It originally opened off Broadway in 1971 and is enjoying its second Broadway revival at the Circle in the Square Theatre.
