Retired and Former Employees
Welcome, retired and former faculty and staff!
We hope you will keep in touch online and return to campus for events and volunteer opportunities.
To learn more about the ways in which retired and former employees can volunteer on and off campus, email RFFS@sidwell.edu or call 202-537-8148.
The Retired and Former Faculty and Staff Organizing Committee works independently and with the School to provide opportunities for retired and former faculty and staff to stay connected with each other and the Sidwell Friends community. Additionally, the committee compiles tributes written by colleagues in recognition of each retiree’s contributions to the School community. Membership is open to all Sidwell Friends retirees and former faculty and staff members who join by sharing their contact information with the committee when they leave the School. If you have not yet joined this group and would like to be invited to its annual luncheon and book club and to receive information directly from the group, please contact the assistant director of class and affinity programs, who will connect you with the committee members.

Please register here if you plan to attend or if your children will be on campus. We want to make sure we have enough food for parents and coaches. A light supper will be available at 5:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room lobby. Keith will speak at 6:00 p.m., and the program will end by 7:00 p.m. Childcare and pizza will be available for LS and MS students. A study space and pizza will be available for US students in the Fox Den. The Fox Den will be open for SFS gear until 7:15 p.m.
Check the signup genius to volunteer, email us at email@example.com, or just come by if you have a few minutes to help. This is the day we take all the boxes of donated items from the storage containers and set them up on tables in the Wannan Gym. We need lots of strong and energetic helpers to help move boxes, furniture, racks for clothing, and tables to display items.
Please register here and let us know who is playing and their level of experience. We will organize our matches according to the information you provide. The format for the afternoon will be three rounds of doubles with alternating opponents and partners (unless you specify otherwise). This event is for tennis enthusiasts of all ages, from our youngest students to their grandparents. Email Kathi Webb at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. If the weather is unsettled we will make a go/no decision by noon October 1. There is no rain date for this event.
All members of the Sidwell Friends community ages 17 and older who weigh at least 110 pounds and have been free of a cold or any cold-like symptoms for at least three days are invited to donate blood. Please register here, where you will also find additional information on donor eligibility.
