Steps to Complete your 60 Hour Individual Community Service Project
Step #1: Select a project
Read the guidelines
for your 60 hour individual community service project
Meet with Mr. Connell to explore various options
Explore and discuss options with knowledgeable people (i.e. service professionals, family, friends, etc.)
Research potential service providers online
Engage in other exploratory activities
Decide on a service project – take into account who, what when, where, how and why
Step #2: Receive approval from the Director of Community Service BEFORE you begin your service work
Contact Mr. Connell and be specific as to who, what, when, where, how and why you will be doing your service work, and/or complete and turn in your
Community Service Contract
(this form can also be found in the Community Service Office) BEFORE you begin your service work
Step #3: Get to work!!
Make sure that your supervisor is keeping track of your hours
Step #4: Complete your service work and the final community service forms necessary to fulfill the requirement
After you have completed at least 60 hours on your service project, you can fill out the
Student Evaluation Form
, and give the
Supervisor’s Evaluation Form
to your on-site supervisor. These forms can also be found in the Community Service Office
Complete these forms, make a copy of each one for your own records, and turn them in to Mr. Connell
