Anindya Dehejia ’78 Fellows Program

The Anindya Dehejia ’78 Fellows Program is an experiential learning program in which rising seniors at Sidwell Friends intern at local nonprofits, businesses, and think-tanks.

Mission Statement

The Anindya Dehejia ’78 Fellows Program Fund was established in 2002 by the Dehejia family. The purpose of the fund is to celebrate Anindya's spirit of inquiry, curiosity, vigor, and love of life by providing opportunities for genuine involvement in creative and innovative intellectual pursuits for the faculty and students of Sidwell Friends School. The Fund supports the Anindya Dehejia ’78 Internship Program, an opportunity for current juniors to be matched with unpaid, 1-2 month internships during the summer before their senior year. Internships are available through application to internship hosts on a competitive basis. The program advances the mission of Sidwell Friends School by cultivating leadership and fostering engagement with local partners in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The program aims to deepen our school’s commitment to equity and justice by facilitating greater access to student internships.
