Sidwell Friends one-meter diver set a personal record in 2026

The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association named Beau Amprey ’28 to the 2025/26 Boys One-Meter All America list this summer—the second straight year he has received the honor.

Amprey met the All-America standard at the Washington Metropolitan Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Championship in February where he scored 484.25 points for 11 dives, a personal record by more than 47 points from his best score in 2025. He finished second in the highly competitive field.

“Beau had an amazing sophomore season and continues to improve tremendously in all his dives,” says Head Swimming and Diving Coach Megan Farrell. “He is a pleasure to watch on the diving board, and he continues to inspire his teammates with his achievements. It is really impressive to be named All American twice!”

“Beau brings the same level of dedication and focus to everything he does,” says Diving Coach Amanda Leizman. “He leads by example, pushes himself and those around him, and always finds a way to have fun. He is the kind of athlete any coach is fortunate to have on their team.”

The Sidwell Friends Swimming and Diving team’s 2026/27 season starts in November.
