The Sidwell Friends Robotics Teams Successfully Kick Off the Season
The Sidwell Friends robotics team competed in their first qualifier of the season Dec. 15 and showed once again the STEM excellence they’ve become known for. Four teams competed: the veteran No Jons, the Swervos, the Boomers, and Cyber Insecurities, our rookie team. After 22 teams competed over five rounds, the No Jons were in 3rd place; after the elimination rounds they won the entire competition, qualifying for the state championship in March. The other three teams will attempt to qualify in their next competition on Jan. 18. Congratulations to the No Jons and good luck to our other SFS teams!
Led by two Sidwell Friends students, Team Foxes for a Cure set out to raise $60,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They did that—and MUCH more.
In the 2021 Zeidman lecture, Erika Lee tackled the history of racism against the AAPI community.
By going virtual, this year the Founder's Day tradition of Let Your Life Speak morning meant that dozens of alumni living across the world could meet with students to speak about their passions, their careers, and how their Sidwell Friends experience has echoed through their lives.
Celebrating Founder’s Day with games, popcorn, and a call for justice.
Today is Founder’s Day, and I open the day with this query: Which seeds will we water?
