Science courses in the Upper School expand the base of understanding and skills learned in the Middle School and provide developmentally appropriate introductory and advanced instruction in biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. We offer multiple levels of study in biology, chemistry, and physics so that students can have a broad experience of learning both content and skills associated with the natural sciences. Extracurricular offerings include the BRAIN (Biological Research and Investigations in Neuroscience) club and local competition preparation, such as Chemathon and the Physics Olympiad, when there is student interest. Many students also pursue summer research at institutions such as NIH and the FDA through summer outreach programs.
