Wannan Gym, Wisconsin Avenue Campus or Bethesda Campus 8-9am

Please bring your new and gently used items (things you'd be happy to pass on to a friend) that you no longer need or want to the Wannan Gym where we will sort, pack, and store them for the Next-to-New Sale October 12-14. You may also deliver to the LS Campus between 8-9am and volunteers will deliver your items to the Wannan Gym. For information on what we take check here - clothing, housewares, children's books, office supplies...(please no carseats, diapers, exercise machines). Join us for a Sidwell Friends Founders Day All-Community Meeting for Worship at 6:30 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. Anne Rosen will speak about her father's book Deep South Dispatch: Memoir of a Civil Rights Journalist by John N. Herbers. Light refreshments will be available at 6:00 p.m.


Join us for this fun evening celebrating our community's commitment to student financial aid. You'll enjoy student artists, delicious food and an open bar, have the opportunity to purchase a range of SFS experiences, and make a donation during the Fund-A-Scholar program with master of ceremonies John Dickerson. Lower School Campus

Bethesda Friends Meeting annual Spring Fling features a reasonably-priced Middle East-themed luncheon buffet, an extensive silent auction, rummage and plant sales, music, and games for children. Spring Fling supports scholarships for students of Ramallah Friends School in Palestine/the West Bank. Since 2005, SFS has hosted a 10th grade exchange student from RFS and for some 40 years, Bethesda Friends has mobilized each Spring to contribute scholarship funds.
