As an athlete, Tamika Dudley is a two-time Hall of Fame inductee in both high school and college. After college, she coached at the University of Wilmington in North Carolina as an assistant before accepting a teaching and assistant coaching position at Woodbridge High School. In 2011, Coach Dudley was named head girls' basketball coach at Woodbridge High School in Virginia. At Woodbridge, she accumulated over 155 wins and appeared in the Virginia 6A state tournament from 2014 to 2019. In 2019, the Lady Vikings were district, regional, and state champions - the first in school history. Coach Dudley was named the 2019 Cardinal District, regional, Virginia Class 6, USA Today Virginia, and Washington Post All-Met Coach of the Year. Coach Dudley accepted the coaching position at Sidwell Friends School for the 2020/2021 season. Sidwell compiled a 26-6 record in her first season. This team became the first in program history to win the regular Independent School League (ISL) championship and advance to the District of Colombia State Athletic Association (DCSAA) championship. In the 2021/2022 season, the Quakers finished a perfect season with a 30-0 record for the first time in the girl's basketball program history. They finished as the number-one-ranked team in the nation. The 2022/2023 season saw the Quakers finish number two in the country with a 26-3 record. In her time at Sidwell Friends, Coach Dudley has amassed an overall record of 83-9 and has been named three-time DCSAA coach of the year, two-time ISL coach of the year, USA Today National Coach of the Year, and Naismith Coach of the Year. Coach Dudley has led Sidwell Friends to two DCSAA and National championships.
