Sidwell Friends

The Upper School Golf team is managed by Jon Mormino, along with Coaches Dominic Lee '00, Xavier Curtis '06, and Alex Stege. The mission of the program is to foster a passion for golf among a diverse group of players – from ones who have been playing for years to ones who are newer to the game. The team aims to lead the Mid-Atlantic Conference in playing excellence and mental toughness by creating a close-knit, hard-working, and fun team environment. In 2024-2025 the team finished second in the Mid-Atlantic Conference tournament and third in the DCSAA tournament, and Sophie Ochiai '26 was the medalist in the DCSAA tournament.
