Sidwell Friends

Bill Wooden has been coaching at the high school level since 1988 and is entering his 22nd year of coaching the varsity team at Sidwell Friends. He is a level 2-certified USA Track and Field coach specializing in endurance events. A lifelong runner, Coach Wooden was recently inducted into the Valparaiso University Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of cross-country teams that finished fourth, seventh, and third in three consecutive NCAA National Championship meets. Most recently under Coach Wooden, the Sidwell Friends teams have won the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship in 2015 and 2016 and the DC State Athletic Association (DCSAA) State Championship in 2012, 2014, and 2015.
