Rebeckah Iseman is the head field hockey coach at Sidwell Friends School, where she has coached since 2013. Her coaching is rooted in her passion for the value of athletics in the development of strong, resilient, and confident young adults. Coach Iseman joined the Sidwell community as a middle school history teacher and is now excited by her recent move into administration as the Middle School Assistant Principal. Field hockey has always been a passion of Coach Iseman’s. She played field hockey for four years at Hamilton College in the New England College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) where she was captain and MVP in her senior year. When her career took her to Boston after graduation, she coached field hockey for Masconomet High School, Nike Summer Programs, and the Bay State Games. Coach Iseman was honored as the Cape Anne League Coach of the Year in 2007. She continued to spread her love of athletics by coaching basketball and volleyball while teaching at Saipan International School from 2010 to 2012. Coach Iseman has a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University and is enrolled in Johns Hopkin’s University Independent School Leadership program.
