Retired and Former Employees
Welcome, retired and former faculty and staff!
We hope you will keep in touch online and return to campus for events and volunteer opportunities.
To learn more about the ways in which retired and former employees can volunteer on and off campus, email RFFS@sidwell.edu or call 202-537-8148.
The Retired and Former Faculty and Staff Organizing Committee works independently and with the School to provide opportunities for retired and former faculty and staff to stay connected with each other and the Sidwell Friends community. Additionally, the committee compiles tributes written by colleagues in recognition of each retiree’s contributions to the School community. Membership is open to all Sidwell Friends retirees and former faculty and staff members who join by sharing their contact information with the committee when they leave the School. If you have not yet joined this group and would like to be invited to its annual luncheon and book club and to receive information directly from the group, please contact the assistant director of class and affinity programs, who will connect you with the committee members.

Bethesda Friends Meeting annual Spring Fling features a reasonably-priced Middle East-themed luncheon buffet, an extensive silent auction, rummage and plant sales, music, and games for children. Spring Fling supports scholarships for students of Ramallah Friends School in Palestine/the West Bank. Since 2005, SFS has hosted a 10th grade exchange student from RFS and for some 40 years, Bethesda Friends has mobilized each Spring to contribute scholarship funds.
