Retired and Former Faculty and Staff Organizing Committee

The Retired and Former Faculty and Staff Organizing Committee works independently and with the School to provide opportunities for retired and former faculty and staff to stay connected with each other and the Sidwell Friends community. Additionally, the committee compiles tributes written by colleagues in recognition of each retiree’s contributions to the School community. Membership is open to all Sidwell Friends retirees and former faculty and staff members who join by sharing their contact information with the committee when they leave the School. If you have not yet joined this group and would like to be invited to its annual luncheon and book club and to receive information directly from the group, please contact the assistant director of class and affinity programs, who will connect you with the committee members.

IF ALL THE SKY WERE PAPER by Andrew Carroll '88

To reserve tickets, visit: www.sidwell.edu/boxoffice.

In every American war from the Revolutionary War to Iraq and Afghanistan, people have captured the horror, pathos and intensity of warfare in their letters. Tens of thousands of these letters have been handed down from generation to generation. Bestselling author, Andrew Carroll, established the Legacy Project through which he has collected thousands of war letters. IF ALL THE SKY WERE PAPER tells the story of one man's search to find powerful and revealing American and foreign war letters -- as written by the women and men on the front lines, affected civilians and loved ones on the home front.

This performance has general seating. Due to language and subject matter, audience discretion is advised.
