Major and Planned Gifts

Sidwell Friends’ new strategic plan provides a clear vision of the exciting opportunities and critical priorities before us.

Capital Campaign Planning

The School is in the leadership phase of capital campaign planning for the fundraising objectives identified through strategic planning. Gifts for The Sidwell Friends Fund, the purchase of real estate adjacent to our campus, and the endowment are our current priorities.

Alumni, parents, and friends who are interested in learning more about how they can have an impact on achieving the School’s strategic goals should contact Tara Arras, Assistant Head of School for Advancement, at arrast@sidwell.edu or 202-537-8117 for up-to-date information.

Planned Giving

Through a planned gift to Sidwell Friends School, you can thoughtfully invest in the future of the school while continuing to meet your other financial goals and provide for your family.

Your support enables Sidwell Friends to infuse students’ lives with Quaker values, a love of learning, and a commitment to serving others.

Annual Leadership Giving Levels

Gifts received annually by Sidwell Friends School at or above the leadership level ($1,883 or more) make up a significant proportion of giving totals.

Leadership gifts in support of the School’s key priorities have the power to transform the Sidwell Friends experience for everyone in our community. They provide for Sidwell Friends today and strengthen our foundation for the future.

Generous donors who make a gift to the 1883 Society ($1,883) or more receive special recognition in our Report on Philanthropy and an invitation to the annual Loyalty and Leadership Reception. Donors at higher giving levels are acknowledged as members of the giving societies shown below and receive additional invitations. Gifts are recognized each year during our fiscal year which is July 1 – July 30. Please contact an Advancement Teammate to learn more or to discuss your philanthropy.
